The DESO H1550BT 1550 Litre Bunded Oil Tank is a robust and space-efficient solution for storing heating oil and other compatible fuels.
Featuring a compact horizontal design, the H1550BT provides a generous 1550 litre capacity without requiring the footprint of some larger traditional tanks. With an overall width of approximately 950mm, it is particularly useful for installations where available space needs to be used efficiently.
Manufactured in the UK from high-grade polyethylene and reinforced with external galvanised steel supports, the H1550BT combines the corrosion resistance of a plastic tank with additional structural strength.
Its fully bunded tank-within-a-tank design provides secondary containment for added protection against leaks, making it a dependable choice for domestic, commercial and agricultural fuel storage.

Compact Horizontal Design
The DESO H1550BT has been designed to provide substantial fuel storage while maintaining relatively compact overall dimensions.
At approximately 2000mm long and just 950mm wide, the tank provides 1550 litres of storage within a footprint of approximately 1740mm x 860mm.
This makes it particularly useful for properties where available width is restricted but a reasonable amount of fuel storage is still required.
Fully Bunded for Added Protection
The H1550BT features a fully bunded tank-within-a-tank design.
Fuel is stored within the primary inner tank, while the surrounding outer tank acts as secondary containment. Should a leak occur from the inner storage vessel, the bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel.
This additional protection helps reduce the risk of fuel reaching the surrounding environment and provides greater security than a traditional single skin storage tank.
Reinforced Construction
A key feature of the H1550BT is the use of external galvanised steel reinforcement alongside the polyethylene tank construction.
The reinforcement provides additional structural support while retaining the benefits associated with a plastic fuel tank.
This gives the H1550BT a strong and durable construction suitable for demanding long-term fuel storage applications.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
