Graf’s new tank generation of Carat rainwater underground tanks has been specially developed for rainwater harvesting. Put simply, rainwater harvesting is collecting the rainwater that falls onto the roof of a building (either a home or a commercial building) and then capturing it inside a tank, which can be located either above or below ground.

The Graf Garden Comfort system is designed for irrigation and outside cleaning purposes. Rainwater is collected from the roof of the property and is fed into the underground tank via the downpipes.

Graf Carat Rainwater Harvester Process

• Water passes through a filter, which varies in size depending on the surface area of the roof that the rainwater is being collected from, which keeps all leaves, moss and debris that may be travelling with the rainwater out of the tank.
• Once the rainwater is held within the tank, it is then extracted for use.
• If the rainwater tank is above ground, then the rainwater can simply be taken out of the tank via a tap – as would be the case in a simple water butt.
• If the rainwater is being stored in a tank underground, then it must be extracted out of the tank using a pump. There are many types of pumps for different applications.
• Depending on what the harvested rainwater is being used for, there may also be a requirement for a mains water backup function for periods where little rainwater is collected.

Offloading

Unless a hi-ab delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer's responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery and a failed delivery may result in additional charges.

We recommend installers and/or plant hire & materials to install such as excavators, aggregates etc are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays, please see our terms for more details.

HIAB

HIAB delivery will be required if you need the tank offloaded from the delivery vehicle. The driver will unload the tank from the vehicle to ground level, however this service is not to place the tank in situ, this will need to be arranged separately.

Please be aware that returning a tank can be complicated and expensive, so please check that you are ordering the correct item (we suggest checking the dimensions very carefully).

Once your request is approved, a valid Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) will be issued to initiate the returns process along with information on how & where to return your order along with any costs involved.
