All troughs are manufactured from UV-stabilised, frost-resistant polyethylene that handles temperatures down to -40°C without cracking – a crucial advantage over traditional concrete or steel. The flexible plastic allows ice to expand safely in winter, whilst smooth-line interiors make cleaning straightforward and eliminate dirt traps. Paxton troughs feature low drinking heights for comfortable animal access, plus integral service boxes with removable lids for easy ballcock maintenance. The range also includes feed troughs with double-skin moulding for extra strength, sheep dips, footbaths, grit bins, and above ground water storage tanks up to 10,000 litres that are WRAS-approved for potable water.
